Silvi's Kitchen (Udi's), Arvada

I like Silvi's Kitchen and have eaten there several times since they opened years back, originally as Udi's. It is located at the main intersection in Olde Town, Arvada. A perfect spot in town. I rarely order pizza when I eat here. For a place that isn't really a pizza place, the pizza is good.

What I ate: The Classic Pepperoni pizza, 3 slices.

Rating: 3 Stars out of 5

  • I almost gave it 4 stars, but when I got to the crust, it wasn't a 4 star crust.
  • The crust under the slice was good. It was the ring of crust that brought it down a star. It was a bit too crunchy and took away from enjoying the whole slice.
  • The slice itself was a good combination of cheese, sauce, and a moist crust. A soft, moist crust isn't always desirable, but it worked for this pizza.
  • Another reason why it's only 3 stars is that I probably wouldn't order the pizza the next time I went to Silvi's. They have other good food. If it was 4 or 5 star pizza, I wouldn't hesitate to order it.
  • It also looks really good!
  • As 3 star pizza's go, this is a higher end 3 star.
Olde Town doesn't have the D Note anymore, so there's no other choices for pizza. I hope Silvi's doesn't get cocky being the only pizza place in town. I'd recommend going to Silvi's Kitchen for their whole menu. Order the pizza if you're in the mood.

For a bonus, we also ordered the 3 Cheese Pie on gluten free crust. I'm not including the gluten free pizza in the rating. As gluten free pizza's go, it was pretty good. That means the sauce and 3 cheeses were very good. It's challenging to make gluten free crust any good, so you must have good ingredients on top. This did and I was happy to have another bite.

Have you been to Silvi's? Did you get the pizza? How about the gluten free crust? Would you give it 4 stars?
